Water Tensions  in Europe and in the Mediterranean:  water crisis by 2050? October, 8-9 2015, Paris-Marne la Vallée Held in partnership with SHF-AFEID-Académie de l'eau-UISF The Deadline for the call for papers is extended to January 29th Call for papers (pdf) The conference addresses issues related to future tensions on water management, linked to climate change and future water uses by 2050. These issues are tackled by studies in the fields of hydrology, climate, social sciences, at various scales in Europe and the Mediterranean. The following topics are addressed: 1.  Past and present “crises” and water tensions 2.  Future water regimes by 2050 3.  Methods for prospective studies Gathering these topics in a single event aims to initiate a multidisciplinary exchange between hydrological, climatic analyses, social and economic approaches and studies on the dynamics of water crises. Social sciences analyses of past and present water crises are expected to improve the management of future water crises.
